Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness Testing (CVRT)

M9 CVRT provides certified Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness Tests for vans, trucks, and trailers in accordance with Road Safety Authority (RSA) regulations.

Each test is carried out by qualified inspectors using approved equipment to assess your vehicle’s safety, roadworthiness, and compliance. Vehicles are examined across key safety areas including braking systems, steering, suspension, lights, tyres, emissions, and structural condition.

All CVRT tests are conducted independently and impartially, ensuring accurate and transparent results every time.

Comprehensive Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness Testing

At M9 CVRT, we provide certified Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness Tests for vans, trucks, and trailers. Every inspection is carried out in line with Road Safety Authority (RSA) regulations to ensure your vehicle is safe, compliant, and roadworthy.

Vehicles are examined across all critical safety areas, including:

  • Braking systems
  • Steering and suspension
  • Lights and indicators
  • Tyres and wheels
  • Structural integrity
  • Emissions (where applicable)

Our team delivers accurate, impartial results, giving you confidence that your vehicle meets all legal requirements.

What We Can Inspect

M9 CVRT offers CVRT testing for a wide range of commercial vehicles, ensuring that all operators can meet RSA requirements with confidence. Our testing covers:

  • Light Commercial Vehicles (Vans) – including standard vans, box vans, and minibuses used for business transport
  • Heavy Goods Vehicles (Trucks) – rigid trucks, articulated vehicles, and larger haulage units
  • Trailers & Semi-Trailers – ensuring that trailer units are fully compliant and roadworthy

Each vehicle undergoes a thorough examination in line with RSA standards, with tests covering braking, suspension, lights, tyres, and overall structural integrity. Our experienced team provides guidance on preparation, compliance, and any potential areas of concern, helping operators maintain safe fleets.

Quick, Clear Re-Testing

If your vehicle does not pass the initial CVRT inspection, M9 CVRT provides quick and efficient re-test appointments to get you back on the road without unnecessary delay.

During a re-test:

  • Inspectors clearly explain what corrective actions are required
  • Tests are carried out in full compliance with RSA regulations
  • All aspects of the vehicle, including brakes, steering, suspension, lights, tyres, and structural integrity, are re-checked to ensure compliance

Our goal is to make the re-test process simple, transparent, and stress-free. We provide professional guidance and practical advice to help operators correct issues quickly, minimise downtime, and achieve compliance with confidence.

Identify Issues Before Your Official Test

M9 CVRT offers optional pre-test checks designed to identify common issues that could lead to test failure. These checks are ideal for operators who want to ensure their vehicles are ready before attending the official CVRT.

During a pre-test check:

  • Inspectors review all key safety areas, including brakes, steering, suspension, lights, tyres, and structural condition
  • Any minor issues are highlighted, giving operators the chance to address them in advance
  • Guidance is provided on preparation, documentation, and compliance to reduce the risk of a failed test

Pre-test checks are carried out in line with best practice standards. While they do not replace the official CVRT and cannot guarantee a pass, they help streamline the testing process, save time, and give operators peace of mind that their vehicle is well-prepared for the RSA inspection.

Independent Testing Facility

M9 CVRT is a dedicated RSA-approved testing centre and does not carry out vehicle repairs or maintenance.

This ensures that every inspection is carried out completely independently, giving you unbiased and accurate test results in full compliance with Road Safety Authority (RSA) regulations.

Our impartial approach means operators can have full confidence in the outcome of their CVRT tests, knowing that results reflect the true roadworthiness of their vehicle without influence from repairs or maintenance services.
